Terms & Conditions of Sale

These terms govern all users of emeraldbiotech.com (the “Site”) and must be agreed to before completing any transaction. All materials available on this platform are distributed strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and developmental analytical purposes.

Waiver and disclaimer of liability

By accessing and purchasing from this Site, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted all provisions stated here. Under no legal circumstance shall Emerald Biotech, its directors, employees or contracted affiliates be held liable for any direct, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from contract claims, handling negligence, strict liability or non-compliant product usage.

By placing an order, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Emerald Biotech from and against all legal claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising from the receipt, storage, handling or downstream application of the products, whether used individually or compounded with other chemical reagents.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Who may buy

By placing an order you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older and that you are acquiring these materials as a qualified researcher, or on behalf of a licensed laboratory, research institute, research foundation or comparable body, for in-vitro and laboratory research only.

You are asked to declare your research purpose at checkout. That declaration is recorded with your order.

Strict research and laboratory use only

All chemical reagents and peptide compounds catalogued on emeraldbiotech.com are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory experimentation, scientific assays and analytical characterisation. None of our products are dietary supplements, medical pharmaceuticals or cosmetic formulations, and none has been certified or approved by any regulatory body for human or animal application.

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Any use in or on humans or animals, by any route.
• Integration into consumer food products, cosmetics or proprietary drugs.
• Resale or distribution for any clinical, human or veterinary purpose.
• Any use violating federal, state or international chemical safety statutes.

All items must be handled exclusively by qualified, trained laboratory researchers or licensed scientific institutions equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment and containment controls.

Purchaser representations and responsibilities

By completing a transaction on emeraldbiotech.com, you certify through your own institutional evaluation that you are qualified and compliant with:

• Federal, state and regional statutory controls governing chemical hazard mitigation and worker safety.
• Proper technical practice for testing, handling and disposing of laboratory-grade compounds.
• Handling of purchased compounds in accordance with Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) inventory guidelines where applicable.

You accept full responsibility for the safe and lawful handling, storage, use and disposal of everything you order, and for any consequence of that use. Handling is at the researcher's own risk and expense. Emerald Biotech reserves the right to cancel transactions, terminate account access, or withhold distribution where an unauthorised or non-research intent is suspected.

What we publish about our products

Purity figures, molecular weights, CAS numbers and certificates of analysis are provided for reference. Certificates are produced by independent third-party laboratories and describe the specific lot tested. We publish them as issued.

We do not guarantee suitability for any particular experiment or application. Choosing the right reference material for your work is your decision.

Accounts, pricing and orders

The catalog and prices are open to anyone; no account is needed to view them. An account is required only to place an order. Registration is free. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. We may decline or cancel any order, and will refund in full where we do — to the card used.

How you pay

Orders are paid by card, and the price shown on the Site is the price charged.

• Card. Card payments are processed by TagadaPay, our payment provider, on its own secure checkout page. Your card details are entered there and are never transmitted to, received by, or stored on emeraldbiotech.com. An order is treated as paid only once TagadaPay confirms the payment to us directly. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.

An order is recorded when you complete checkout, before payment is confirmed. Recording an order is not the same as paying for it: material is not prepared or dispatched until the payment for it has actually cleared.

Territory

We ship within the United States only and do not accept international orders. We make no representation that these compounds may lawfully be imported into, or possessed in, any other jurisdiction.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms and all contractual sales shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, legal challenge or arbitration arising from a transaction shall be addressed exclusively through the state or federal courts located in California.

Privacy Policy

This policy outlines how emeraldbiotech.com collects, protects and manages your personal and technical data when you access our catalog or place an order.

What we collect

• Account data — the email address you register with, the research purpose you declare, and your acknowledgment that you are acquiring these materials for laboratory research only.
• Order and logistics data — your name, destination shipping address and contact email, which we need to pack and dispatch an order.
• Payment reference — orders are paid by card. Card payments are handled entirely on TagadaPay's checkout page, so we never receive or store your card number or bank details. What we hold is the order reference, the amount, and the identifiers TagadaPay returns to us so a payment can be matched to an order and reconciled later.
• Technical data — standard server and browser information generated automatically when you use the Site.

How we use it

• Packing, dispatching and tracking your order.
• Sending order confirmations and shipment notifications.
• Only if you asked for it — sending you occasional email about new compounds, new lot certificates and stock updates. You choose this when you register, by ticking a box that is never ticked for you, and you can stop it from any message.
• Verifying transactions and checking for fraudulent or non-research orders.
• Meeting our legal, trade-compliance and accounting obligations.
• Measuring whether our advertising reaches people who are interested, whether an advert led to an order, and how visitors use the Site so we can fix what is confusing or broken — see the Meta, Google and Microsoft entries below.

We store only what you provide to us. We do not sell, rent or lease your data, and we never share your name, email address, shipping address or order contents with advertisers or data brokers. We do share page-visit activity with Meta, site-usage, product-browsing, cart and order-completion activity with Google, and recordings of how pages are used with Microsoft, for advertising measurement and site analytics, as described below. You can switch all three off at Your privacy choices. Under California law that sharing counts as a “share”, which is why the opt-out exists.

We email you only if you have asked us to — either by ticking the box when you register, or by agreeing beforehand, which some customers from before that box existed did. We pass your email address, your name if you gave one, and what you ordered to MailerLite, the service that sends that email on our behalf. MailerLite is a processor working to our instructions — it is not an advertiser or a data broker, it may not use your details for its own purposes, and it may not sell them. If you have not asked for email, the site sends nothing about you to MailerLite. See the entry under Who else sees your data, which says plainly what it receives, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any message we send.

Data protection

The Site is served over SSL/TLS throughout, and account access is authenticated. Your account and order records are held in an access-controlled database that is not readable without authentication. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.

Who else sees your data

• Carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — the delivery address, so your parcel can be delivered.
• TagadaPay — our payment provider. It receives the details needed to take the payment, under its own terms and privacy policy, and passes them to the acquiring bank that settles the transaction.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — if you have not opted out, our pages load Meta's advertising pixel, which tells Meta that a browser visited a page on this site and sets an identifier (_fbp) so it can recognise that browser again. It is used to measure whether our advertising works. It does not receive your name, email address, shipping address, order contents or payment details. When you open a compound we tell Meta that you viewed a product — never which compound, never its price, and never anything else from the catalogue. You can switch it off — see Your privacy choices.
• Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads) — if you have not opted out, our pages load Google's measurement tags. Tag Manager is the tool through which these Google tags are delivered. They tell Google which pages a browser visited on this site; which product and size it opened, with that product's price; what it added to its cart, with the quantity and price; that an account was created (the fact only, not whose); and, on the page you land on after paying, that an order was submitted, identified by its order reference. TagadaPay's checkout page, checkout.emeraldbiotech.com, loads the same Tag Manager container, and there Google's tags are told that an order was placed, its value and the products in it. Google does not receive your card details from us, and our tags are not set up to send it your name, email address or shipping address. We use it to see how visitors find and use the site, and whether an advert led to an order. We have deliberately switched off Google's cross-device signals and ad personalisation for this site, so this activity is not used to build advertising audiences or to follow you around the internet. You can switch it off — see Your privacy choices.
• Microsoft (Clarity) — if you have not opted out, our pages load Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the pages visited — so we can find what is confusing or broken. Text you type, and the sign-in, account and checkout areas, are masked and never recorded, so it does not receive your name, email address, shipping address or payment details. It sets cookies (names beginning _clck and _clsk). You can switch it off — see Your privacy choices.
• MailerLite — only if you asked us to email you. It is the service that sends that email, and it receives your email address, your name if you gave one, and the compounds and quantities on your orders, so that a message can refer to what you actually bought rather than guessing. If you are on that list it is also told which compound you last looked at on the site, so we do not write to you about something you have no interest in. This is the one recipient that is told what you ordered, and the only one that can tie what you viewed to your name or email address, and it is told only because you asked to hear from us — Meta is told neither; Google is told which products a browser viewed, added to its cart and ordered, but not who you are, as above; and Microsoft is not told what you ordered. MailerLite acts on our instructions, may not use your details for its own purposes and may not sell them. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the email and removes you from that list. You can also withdraw at any time by writing to support@emeraldbiotech.com. If you have not asked us to email you, the site sends nothing about you to MailerLite.
• Law enforcement or judicial bodies — strictly where compelled by a valid subpoena or statutory order.

Cookies and sessions

Functional. We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to preserve your cart between pages. You can restrict cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and sign-in will not work correctly if you do.

Advertising — Google. Unless you have opted out, Google's measurement tag sets cookies (names beginning _ga) so Google can tell whether the same browser came back, and whether a visit that followed one of our adverts ended in an order. These are not needed for the site to work, and turning them off changes nothing about signing in, your cart or your orders. See Your privacy choices.

Analytics — Microsoft Clarity. Unless you have opted out, Clarity sets cookies (names beginning _clck and _clsk) so it can tie the pages of one visit together and tell whether the same browser came back. These are not needed for the site to work, and turning them off changes nothing about signing in, your cart or your orders. See Your privacy choices.

Advertising — Meta. Unless you have opted out, Meta's pixel sets a _fbp cookie so Meta can tell whether someone who saw one of our adverts later visited this site. This one is not needed for the site to work, and turning it off changes nothing about signing in, your cart or your orders. See Your privacy choices.

Your data

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account — write to the address in Section Five.

Your privacy choices

We share page-visit activity with Meta, site-usage, product-browsing, cart and order-completion activity with Google, and recordings of how pages are used with Microsoft, so we can tell whether our advertising is working and how the site is used. California law calls that a share, and gives you the right to stop it. You can, here, and we also honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically if your browser sends one.

What opting out does. None of the three is loaded at all — no request is made to Meta, Google or Microsoft, and none of the _fbp, _ga or _clck cookies are set. The one control covers all three. So that TagadaPay's checkout page can respect the same choice, opting out (or sending Global Privacy Control) also stores one small cookie, eb_ad_optout, across emeraldbiotech.com and its checkout subdomain; it records the choice and nothing else, and our Google tags on the checkout page are set not to fire when it is present. Nothing else changes: signing in, your cart, your orders and your certificates all work exactly as before.

Email is a separate choice, on purpose. This control governs the advertising and analytics tags and nothing else. It does not stop the email you asked for when you registered, and unsubscribing from that email does not switch these tags off. They are different decisions about different things, so neither is allowed to quietly answer for the other. To stop the email, use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to support@emeraldbiotech.com. If you never asked for email, there is nothing to stop — the box is never ticked for you.

What it cannot do. The setting is stored in this browser, so it applies to this browser on this device. If you use a different browser, or clear your site data, set it again. It also has no effect on what Meta may already hold from elsewhere — for that, use your Meta ad preferences.

We have never sold your personal information, and we do not sell it now.

Shipping Policy

The threshold applies to your order subtotal — the value of the compounds themselves, before shipping is added. This is a flat rate: it does not vary by weight, dimensions or destination, and there is no expedited option at checkout.

Processing and transit

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days of payment clearing. A card payment clears as soon as our payment provider confirms it. We do not process or dispatch on weekends or federal holidays.

Transit is typically 2–5 business days after dispatch. We ship within the United States only and do not ship internationally.

How orders are packed

Orders are packed to protect compound integrity: insulated, temperature-controlled packaging, light-protective vials, cushioning against breakage, and tamper-evident seals.

Cold chain and packaging

Lyophilized reference compounds are shipped under temperature-controlled packaging appropriate to the material. Vials are packed to protect against light and physical damage in transit.

On arrival, inspect your shipment promptly and store the contents as directed on the product page — typically −20 °C, desiccated, protected from light. Storage after delivery is your responsibility, and materials held outside those conditions may not perform as the certificate describes.

Tracking

A tracking number is emailed to you once the carrier scans the parcel at pickup. Allow up to 24 hours for the carrier's own tracking to begin updating.

Addresses and delivery

We ship to the address given at checkout. Please check it carefully — we cannot redirect a parcel once it has been dispatched, and we are not responsible for orders lost because of an incorrect or incomplete address.

Title and risk of loss pass to you once the parcel is accepted and scanned into the carrier's network. Once a carrier records a delivery, the order is considered delivered. If tracking shows delivery but you have not received the parcel, contact us and we will help you pursue it with the carrier.

Return & Refund Policy

Because of the temperature-sensitive handling, sterile packaging and compliance standards that apply to laboratory-grade material, once an order has been authorised, processed and dispatched, Emerald Biotech does not accept physical returns or exchanges, and does not issue refunds for change of mind.

Damaged or compromised in transit

If a shipment arrives with container damage, shattered vials or compromised seals, file a claim within 48 hours of carrier delivery confirmation. Email support@emeraldbiotech.com with your order reference and:

• Clear photographs of the damaged container and the compromised seal.
• A photograph of the outer shipping box showing the carrier tracking label.
• The product batch identifier from your order invoice.

Photographs matter: they are what let us make a carrier claim on your behalf. Following review of the submitted evidence, Emerald Biotech may issue a reshipment of the damaged item.

Wrong item, or never delivered

If you received something other than what you ordered, or tracking shows the parcel did not arrive, tell us within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery and we will put it right — these are fulfilment and carrier failures, not returns.

What is not covered

• Change of mind, ordering the wrong compound, or no longer needing the material.
• Degradation after delivery from storage outside the stated conditions.
• Experimental outcomes that did not match your expectations. Purity and identity are documented per lot on the certificate; experimental outcomes are not something we can warrant.
• Damage claims raised after the 48-hour window, where we can no longer establish the condition of the material on arrival.

Cancellations and changes

Orders enter fulfilment as soon as payment is authorised. Once an order has been processed, it cannot be cancelled, altered or readdressed. Please check your order and shipping address before completing checkout. An order that has not yet been processed can be cancelled for a full refund — email us with your order reference.

Chargebacks

Filing an unauthorised payment dispute or fraudulent chargeback rather than contacting us is a breach of these terms. Emerald Biotech reserves the right to submit transaction logs, delivery proofs and communication records to risk-management networks and merchant fraud databases, which may lead to exclusion from future purchasing. If something is wrong with your order, contact us first — we would rather fix it.
